I like the design and think the idea would be great if we had established local chapters.  The price is in line with other back patches.
I am a member of Christian In Action Motorcycle Ministry in Waterloo, IL, our patches are the same price.  We also have decals for helmets, windshields, etc.  Our T-shirts have the large decal on the back and small one on the front.  I think they

I like the small patches to add to back patches we may already have for organizations we joined prior to DRA.
Keep up the good work.
I am still trying to get up the money for my dues.  Our government is not helping out with gas prices leading to everything costing more!

Thank you Bubbles! Don't worry about the dues. They are optional ( though appreciated) and there is no time limit. I understand today's economy being what it is everything is harder for most folks.

Vinny had the back patches made and they are in. Although he left the design the same he changed the coloring and I think it dies stand out more. I will get a pic of it on here asap and y'all can let me know who wants one. For you newer members we also do have smaller patch in close to the same design available. I know ther is pic of it somewhere on this forum. I think perhaps it can be found under the topic heading "Membership Info".

Pricing on the patches is as follows:

For dues paying members the big patch is $25, $30 for non dues paying members. The smaller patch is free to dues paying members and $5 each for non dues paying members.

Thank you all for your suggestions and help.

Yes,

I would like the update about the Back Patch(es) and smaller ones.  Can you put into the forum again all the pictures (regular and smaller ones) in color?  I
and others would appreciate it.  It does sound very interesting and I do think I would be interested.  Let me know.

   Thanks.

I realize I'm waay late on this. There was a comment previously about this looking like a three piece patch. Did anyone consider the impact of a patch with rockers above and below? If the C.O.C. (Confederation  of Clubs) didn't approve, there might come a time when a member wearing this patch would be "asked" to remove it with very negative repercussions for noncompliance. It's a moot point now, I suppose.

One percenters can be touchy about territory. Just a word of caution to those wearing this patch, especially the larger version on a jacket or vest. I don't know if this would be more of a problem for those traveling to different rallies and events around the country...

What's a one-percenter? Why would they object to the patch? So far it hasn't been a problem but thanks for the heads up.

What's the word on this?  Has there been any more discussion on this subject.

I'll bring this up next time I talk to my sister.  Her and her husband are involved here in TX so I'll see if I can get some skinny.

Thanks Shorts. Would be interesting to hear what they have to say. Vinny adn I have been wearing the patches on our vests for quite some time now at quite a few rallies all over and have never had a problem or a question.

Ok, got some info here.

Now BIG DISCLAIMER:  This info does not, will not, may not, apply to your region, area, state etc!  Please do more digging for information in your state as it will vary.  This info is from here in TEXAS.  She is not a lawyer.  She is not a encyclopedia.  And any info here should not be taken as the first or final word.  With that said, here is what she knows:

Quote
Hehe, I don't mean to step on toes, but here's some pointers on pc-ness motorcycle community wise to keep in mind.    The fact that you'd wear a patch or patches says a lot about what you're a part of and what you believe in. Patches, usually those worn on the front of your vest, tend to be not as important as what you wear on the back of your vest.  Usually the ones you wear up front are anywhere from 2" to like 6" or something like that. There is no 'pc' limit as to how big the patches on front of your vest can be. The back is a totally different story.  Usually when you see people wearing a central back patch, whether it's 1 piece or 3 piece, they're involved in some sort of riding association(RA), riding club (RC), or motorcycle club (MC).  I think y'alls would be an RA.  In order to be sanctioned, you're usually required to have at least 4 or 5 members/officers.  These patches are usually sanctioned by the local 1%chapter.  That means you have permission by the local outlaws to ride in an organized fashion on the roadways.  Should you not seek sanctioning and choose to wear the patch, most likely 1 or some of y'all would be confronted by a Bandit and given a shake-down, probably consisting of taking ur patch until you've received permission.  I think in y'all's case it is the [edit] Banditos. It would be motorcycle-wise politically correct to bring your idea to them and let them know what you're about.    These guys are not monsters, although there are some who just don't like anybody.  They're proud of their organization (keep in mind there's bad apples in every group, not just theirs), and proud of their brotherhood. They're not here to tell you that you can't ride a bike or wear a patch, they just want you to know there is also more responsibility included in belonging to any sort of riding group, whether it be motos, trikes, dirtbikes,..etc.  While they're basically the first to be blamed for any stupid biker causing problems, all they ask is if you can enjoy the freedom of riding, you should also be an advocate for protecting that right.  No free passes. I think the easiest way to get ahold of the powers that be in your area is to go to ucotexas.com and click on the [location link] to find their meeting schedule and attend one.  Most likely after the meeting you can visit with whoever chairmen you need to to bring up ur idea.  it won't happen overnight, and they'll probably have some advice for you too.   Organizations like the United Clubs and Confederation of Clubs also help fight for biker's rights, as well as everyday peoples' rights, too.  Here lately, the MRO (motorcycle rights organization)-Texas Defenders has gone nation-wide and is now known as the US defenders. 13 states currently participate in letter-writing campaigns, visiting with representatives at the capital, and generally encouraging all people to be active and vigilant in the drafting of the legislature that governs them.  Screw these stuffy white collar a-holes telling us we can't have our rights.  These organizations are about taking action to make sure everyone's kids and grandkids still enjoy the freedoms that we currently have.  Slowly, government has started inching in on us telling us we can't have the kind of pipes we want, or we can't gather with our friends to take rides in groups bigger than 2 bikes....etc.  What crap!  Any how, about the colors.  Usually any sort of ra, rc, or mc has colors that represent who they are. you'll most likely need to adopt a couple.  Some already sanctioned clubs may throw a fit about what you pick if they're the same as theirs, but usually as long as it's not red and gold, you should be fine-those are the bandit's colors and the support club colors.  Also the colors red and white together are no nos, as they represent The Hells Angels and their support clubs.  There is not an active 1% war going on, but usually when any outlaw confronts one of another club, they don't get along (unless it's during a us defender, coc, or uco meeting).  After is a different story.
I know this is a lot of information....I don't mean to scare you or get too serious about it, just trying to offer my knowledge of the community.  Oh yeah, and there are clubs like BACA (bikers against child abuse) that are put into special categories that don't necessarily have to comply as strictly to these guidelines.  If you have any questions..pleeeease feel free to ask :)
Talk to you later,

There does not seem to be a Pic of the back patch on this posting.
Is there another place I can view the patches and decals?

All interesting thoughts. I would wear it as a vest patch. Sadly, can't afford it on a fixed income. It does get the idea across/in focus. All 'opinions' considered;-) I would also like to see it as a bike sticker.

Shorts~ Your friend came across with much accurate info. I ride a Harley Sportster Xl883L in an (International) MC.  With my spouse as a member & myself a 'support' maiden, I can ride with the club on my mc to any event, open ride, party, cause's (Relay for life-I am also a multiple cancer survivor) which the MC supports me in force. But I cannot ride alone/solo with my vest on,that makes me a target..

The guys are LEO's, CEO's, teachers, military, attorneys, nurses, Dr's. etc. (cause I know some of them) & have in depth made sure, with me as a maiden on her own bike, that I recognize, understand, acknowledge, & abide the bylaws. Some of those 1%/outlaws can be very nasty off the cuff or when sensing a perceived threat to their colors or territory. Control issues, sheesh~8/

Some of our members have been put in Trauma ICU just for riding thru the 'wrong' towns, stopping for a brew/meal & the 'wrong' bars, & stripped of their patches. Then there are those that have alter egos & will open the door @ a store for you, etc. The size, color & placement of any patch is important in ANY MC or group.

The internet IS an open hwy of info if one is curious enough to keep up with today's laws/events. ABATE is one I hope to become part of when finances are in better shape. Just my 2 cents, ^_^. God bless

p.s. I would love to ride with a group that fits ME, wearing the patch proudly., i.e. NA, ADHD, ACOA, PTSD,VERTIGO, etc. (would look good on my harley in a commercial/movie as an extra. ^_^  (IOMC, A&E Nov.3, ironordermc.com)  OK, MOTORMOUTH WILL STOP NOW:-)
