Kliktronic help please
« on: November 30, 2011, 02:24:12 PM »

I recently had a Kliktronic purchased for me by the Yellow Ribbon Fund. I am trying to mount it on a Honda CRF 230L. Has anyone here done so, or does anyone have any mounting ideas/options? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Try posting a few pictures showing the location of your shifter lever, relative to the frame.

More than likely, you will need to have brackets custom made to attach the unit to your frame, as I needed for my BMW R75/6.  The entire rectangular bracket that bolts onto the frame was machined by a friend at a reasonable cost.  The bracket that came from Klicktronic, containing the ball bearing swivel mount was then bolted to that custom made bracket.  As you can see, the shifter arm was also replaced with a custom made adjustable length arm.

Any installation that is for a bike where there is no ready made mounting hardware from Pingel or Klicktronic requires such custom bracket work.
